PUGET SOUND Region is planning a blood drive for the Puget Sound Blood Bank and their Fall Leadership Conference will be October 30th in Renton.

OLYMPIC REGION Fall Leadership Conference was held on Saturday, October 3, at Aberdeen High School. Chuck Veloni and his Wildcat crew did an awesome job hosting 45 student members and their advisors. Everyone enjoyed the presentations and the world famous Aberdeen Calzones – thank you to Jen the AHS Kitchen Manager! If you haven’t had the opportunity to enjoy this treat . . .

FLC topics included the national conference and what it takes to compete and win, problem solving, leadership and skills events, information about their professional student organization, a Q & A session, and a Quiz Bowl contest.

Olympic Region advisors are busy selecting dates, times, and locations to host region skills contests — keep your eyes open for email updates to advisors!

The Olympic Region Leadership Conference and Awards Ceremony will be held at River Ridge High School on Saturday, February 6. We anticipate well over 100 contestants in 20+ leadership and occupational events, and involve 40 judges from the local business community. And for the 5th year, we’ll have a scaled down SkillsUSA store with polos, and other items for sale. Advisors please watch for information about times, cost, and the registration deadline.

Finally, a hearty Olympic Region welcome to our new advisors and sections! Looking forward to seeing you and your kids at the region, state and national contests and conferences.
